Set against the grand stone arches and rambling gardens of Villa Serafina, Sofia and Luca’s wedding was made for a long summer afternoon. The brief was romantic and abundant, but never too polished—a celebration that felt as though it belonged here, rather than one that had simply been dropped into the grounds.
We leaned into the setting with trailing florals, soft peach and butter tones, crisp linens and plenty of candlelight as the sun went down. Tables spilled through the courtyard beneath the trees, with generous arrangements that felt a little wild around the edges and details designed to become even better once the glasses were half full and the napkins decidedly less neat.
The ceremony gave way to champagne in the garden, followed by a long, leisurely dinner that stretched well into the evening. There were heartfelt speeches, second helpings, several rounds of limoncello and, eventually, very little reason for anyone to remain seated.
It was elegant without being overly serious, romantic without the fuss, and full of the kind of moments you couldn’t have planned if you tried.
